The Chairperson's Message

No matter how much one pretends, within ourselves every one is an upright person. We may have bitterness stored on the outside and perhaps be angry at life for nothing but deep down in our soul remains the flame of purity. And no matter how much you deny this, in fact like everyone, you do want to ease the pain of those around you. Not because you have to, but because you yourself need to…

Assalamualaikum, my name is Musa Inayat Malik and I’m the Founder/Chairperson of this endeavour I call “Pirangi” Today we live in a world of turmoil, there is absolutely no doubt about that and particularly in the nation we reside we are faced with newer and in fact deadlier problems than the passing day. We tend to as a nation complain bitterly about the daily domestic problems that affect us, especially in our cities, about the looming expenditures on not only designer fabrics but also upon the very “atta” we eat. Granted, we live in a time of turbulence but we as always tend to overlook the smaller, less personal issues at hand. Issues of people we do not know and quite frankly would not even intend to know. However, no matter how much we alienate ourselves from reality the truth remains, that what they go through remains the biggest problem in their lives and if you were to draw a comparison, your complaints would be similar to a child’s whose insistence that he deserves all of the toys in the store is highly valid and plausible. But what you don’t have necessarily doesn’t have to kill you, whereas sometimes a disease like cancer which you do have may as well complete the job.
Such scenarios are harsh, but it is my belief that the stronger the impact the more lasting is the effect. Hence, I urge all of you to experience some realities that have been forgotten. Some truths that if we were to unfold would I promise shake you to your very core. The Sohail Chapter, which marked our first collaborative effort in the journey of Pirangi has been completed and to our satisfaction been closed on a delighted note. But there are many out there who still need us. Who simply do not have anyone apart from Pakistan to save them. It is my struggle to let that hope remain alight. Come. Help me. Together we can save one life at a time.
